Dr. Bruyn is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery, and Dr. Harvey is Board Certified in Foot Surgery and Board Certified in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery.
Our Doctors are on active staff at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital, Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital, and local out-patient surgery centers.

Dr. Bruyn graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine cum laude, and completed his surgical residency at Harris County Podiatric Surgical Program in Houston. He also holds an associate degree in Medical Technology and Electron Microscopy as well as a Bachelor degree in Biology. He has held a clinical faculty position at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston since 1982. Dr. Bruyn's sub-specialty is reconstructive pediatric and adult flatfoot surgery, on which he has lectured and published numerous articles. Dr. Bruyn has been President of Beaumont Surgical Affiliates physician group since 1997. He has staff appointments at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital, Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital and local out-patient surgery centers.

Dr. Leigh A. Harvey graduated from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University. She completed one year of residency training at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, focusing on diabetic care and limb salvage. She then continued her training with a two year surgical residency at Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in Houston, Texas which focused on elective foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Harvey then completed a one year fellowship in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery while serving as Chief resident at the Harris county Residency.

Born and raised in Northern Nevada, Dr. Carmack received a Bachelor�s degree in Health Sciences at the University of Nevada, Reno. He then received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. His training included a 10 month Internship at the Texas Diabetes Institute in San Antonio, Texas and a three year surgical residency at a Level 1 trauma center in Fairfax, VA. While in Virginia, he served as Chief Resident at Georgetown University, where he specialized in lower extremity plastic surgery at the Georgetown Limb Center.
In his podiatry practice, Dr. Carmack emphasizes prevention and education with his patients, and maintains a philosophy of exhausting conservative therapy options, whenever possible.
